James "Jim" Craig (15 October 1910 – 23 November 1978) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the West Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He was the winner of the 1927 Sandover Medal as the "fairest and best" player in the league. ==Career== Born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia,〔(West Australian Football Hall of Fame members ) – West Australian Football Commission. Retrieved 20 May 2012.〕 he began playing with West Perth in 1918. He made his debut for Western Australia at the 1924 Australasian Football Carnival, held in Hobart. Craig also played in the 1927 carnival held in Melbourne, in total playing in 18 interstate and carnival matches for the state. With seven votes, Craig was the winner of the 1927 Sandover Medal, retiring a couple of years later after playing 216 games for West Perth.〔(Jim Craig (West Perth) ) – FullPointsFooty.
